Extreme Measure

Hey Guys, especially to those who have watched the movie "Extreme Measure," could you help me brain storm ideas on the following queries
1) What are the issues, principles, moral values, and norms that had been affected/mention on the film, please elaborate.and
2)what are the scientific facts that are relevant to the presented problem in the film - the removal of the nerve tissues/fibers on the human spinal cord in order to have some experimentation or to produce a cure to the degenerative disorders of the nervous system especially to the recovery of a stroke or comatose patients
